Kuala Lumpur - Power Conference

Experiencing the Power of God in Kuala Lumpur

It’s hard to put into words what happened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, when we gathered at Lifegen Church for the “Power” conference. From the very beginning, there was a tangible expectation in the air—a hunger among the youth to encounter the living God in a way that would radically change their lives. And I can confidently say: God did not disappoint!

Lifegen Church welcomed us with open arms, and as soon as we stepped into the building, we could sense something significant was about to unfold. The leadership team had prepared tirelessly, and the worship band set the stage each night with an atmosphere that invited the Holy Spirit to move freely. The arts of worship were seen in all form. From a light show revealing the book of Genesis of God creating the world, to the worship team on stage, to honoring the presence of the Lord in silence, there was such a sweet revelation of Jesus in each form of sound and sight.

The name of the conference, “Power,” turned out to be prophetic. It wasn’t just a theme; it became the very essence of what we experienced.

No Wasted Moments

From the first night, it was clear that God wanted to break through. We began by inviting the youth to worship with complete abandonment, not wasting a moment of our time together. The room was filled with voices crying out to Jesus—tears streaming, hands lifted, and hearts fully surrendered. During the first session, we felt a shift in the atmosphere as young people began to pour out their love to God extravagantly. There was a beautiful blending of cultures, races, and ages, united under the banner of Jesus.

Heavy Encounters

The second day might’ve been one of the most glorious moments that I’ll cherish. A true face to face moment with the Lord in the room. Little to no movement, everyone on their knees or on their face in complete silence with one purpose, to seek the face of Jesus. We waited and stayed in this weightiness for a good moment. With testimonies coming from hundreds of the youth that they’ve never experienced Jesus in such a way. The Holy Spirit fell in such power that words can barely capture it. During the altar call, young people ran forward, not walked—ran—to the front of the room to know Jesus deeper, desperate for a fresh touch from God. As we prayed over them, the presence of the Lord moved like a mighty wind. One by one, we saw youth being filled with the Holy Spirit and answering the call to giving Jesus their full yes.

Abandoned for Him

The final night, we commissioned over a thousand young adults to run after Jesus. Ranging from missions, to pastoral calls, to business calls, and more. Hundreds answered to different calls of commissioning and sending.

I believe that night marked a turning point for many of those young people as even to this day (10/10/2024) we continue to get testimonies of lives changed. They encountered a God who is not distant but deeply involved in every aspect of their lives—a God who empowers, equips, and transforms.

Lives Changed, Nations Reached

When the conference came to a close, there was a sense that this was not an end but a beginning. The youth/young adults of Lifegen Church and several other partnered churches were visibly transformed. They had tasted and seen the goodness and power of God, and they were not going back to ordinary living. I am convinced that seeds of revival were planted, not just in Kuala Lumpur, but in the hearts of these youth who will carry the fire of God to their families, schools, and communities.

Reflecting on God’s Power

It’s incredible to see how the power of God manifests differently in each place. What happened in Kuala Lumpur was not just another conference; it was a divine encounter that will have ripple effects for years to come. I am humbled and in awe of how Jesus showed up so powerfully at “Power” conference, reminding us once again that He is, indeed, the same yesterday, today, and forever.

To the youth of Lifegen and the beautiful people of Malaysia—thank you for your hunger, your passion, and your willingness to be carriers of God’s glory. Kuala Lumpur, you are marked by His power!

Until next time, may you continue to walk in the fullness of all God has for you!

Blessings,
