A weekend of His glory…

I want to start off by saying, words won’t come close to how the Lord showed up this weekend. They cannot describe the intensity of His presence and glory that showed up.

I won’t write this like a normal blog. I will simply try my best to share what took place and in a later blog I will break down my thoughts further as we continue to process and unbox it all.

Night 1:

During the day, we equipped the saints for the work of the ministry. Then had preparation for the night sessions.

Such a beautiful night with 53 salvation and 67 Healings. With near 1,000 people attending. The gospel was preached and Jesus showed up in the room powerfully. It was a sweet night but it would only be the beginning of what was to come.

Night 2:

Again, we equipped the saints for the work of the ministry during the day. Really sweet sessions of equipping and encounters with the body of Christ. There sessions were much smaller and intimate. Probably some of my favorite moments of the weekend took place in there as we were able to connect to a much smaller group closely.

However, the second and third night would mark my heart like never before.

Our team had split that night. One group went to a nearby city, Lahad Datu, to preach the gospel to 600-800 people who gathered on the whim hearing that we were nearby. We had sent majority of our team there. I had remained in Tawau to oversee the team there. While we were feeling the loss of our team, we quickly unified and set our heart on one goal. To be extravagant for Jesus. Not to get Him to show up but because of who He is. That He deserves extravagance because of what was paid for us.

That night the team walked in unity to glorify the King. To serve like Martha with a heart like Mary. As the night flowed, the presence of the Lord kept getting thicker and thicker. We had gotten to the point of ending the night. We wanted to end just celebrating the Lord. What happened next was unprecedented. The room suddenly felt charged and as we tried to end after the next song. The worship team told me “We have one more song, you told us to be extravagant, let’s be extravagant.” I was moved and told them to go for it.

Standing off by the side of the stage we saw people giving everything before the Lord. What we thought would be one more song became several more songs. From us shutting down at 9, now became us closing passed 11. People poured their hearts out before the Lord.

And just when we thought that was the moving night… Night 3 became something I’ve never felt or seen before.

Night 3:

Our team split down again to go into several churches to share Jesus with people. By the afternoon, the rest of our team had returned with powerful testimonies from Lahad Datu. Incredible healings and moments with the Lord. One remarkable testimony was a baby with a hole in his heart that was brought before some of our team members. They had prayed and we had the report from the doctors 4 days late of there being no more hole with a remarkable change in the skin tone of the baby that now looked healthy and whole.

We had gathered the team, over 50 people into a small circle. We laid out expectation again and immediately went into sharing testimonies. We had covered one another with prayer and encouraged each other as well. We needed unity again for our whole team to be in one accord with what the Lord was doing. We gave freedom to be Marthas with hearts like Mary once again. Even if you worked a camera, we gave permission that if the Lord began to touch your heart, you could take a moment to acknowledge Him. After all, we’re doing this for Him right?

From the start, everything we felt from the night before began to happen from the start. Jesus was exalted immediately and in His presence weighed on the room. What we stepped into though will always rest in my heart.

To put it short, the sick were healed without laying on of hands, people repented without an altar call needed, people poured their hearts our before the King willingly, our speaker couldn’t get a message out, and even pastors crawled to the front repenting. The beauty of it all was that His goodness showed up in a magnificent way that disrupted everything yet centered us all back to what mattered most, everything being about Him.

We had sat in this moment for hours with the King of glory. He moved across the room touching hearts of men and women. In an extravagant manner, we ended in worship with thankfulness before Him.
